Why Custom Quilts?

I accept a small number of commissions each season. When orders are open, you'll see that listed at the top of this page, with links to book and reserve your spot.
My custom order spots are limited in number because every commission quilt is stitched with care. I cut hundreds, often thousands, of tiny pieces of fabrics and sew them together to create each quilt. The quilt top is then carefully layered together with the batting and backing fabric, and stitched together by hand or machine.

I sew traditional designs in contemporary color palettes. My goal is to rework generations-old blocks in a way that feels fresh, fun, and personalized.

I love the way that quilts are warmth, comfort, heirloom, art, and family history all wrapped into one. I try to bring all of these things to each one of my commission quilts. I hope your quilt will be something to last a lifetime, and even pass down to your family.

Traditional Quilt Patterns

Below, I've curated a small selection of my favorite traditional, block-based quilts. I offer quilts based on any of these blocks, with customized color palettes. If you're interested in commissioning a quilt, I encourage you to look at the examples below and tell me if any of the designs call to you.

Modern Quilt Patterns

I also sew from modern quilt patterns, which can offer a broader range of styles and a more contemporary look. I've listed a few that I like below, but we can also work together to find something that suits you.

Booking, Design, and Delivery

When my books are open, you'll see listings and links at the top of this page. Follow the booking links, choose your quilt size and delivery date, and pay through the website. Once you've ordered online, your spot in my queue is reserved!

I understand that quilts are an investment, and payment plans are available through ShopPay. To see details, go to a custom quilt listing, scroll to the price, and look for a ShopPay message + link right below.

Once you've booked your quilt, I'll reach out to you via email to start designing. I'll ask a few questions about your likes and dislikes, favorite colors, and which of my quilts you've liked most. I'll come up with a proposal that includes a quilt pattern and a custom fabric pull. You'll get to approve the pattern and color palette before I begin sewing. Every booking comes with 1 design revision, just in case I don't nail your vision on the first try.

Your quilt will be finished and shipped by the date you've booked for. Most orders within the US will arrive within 1 week of shipping. If you're ordering your quilt for a special occasion and need it by a certain date, please let me know so I can ensure an on-time arrival.

Refunds and Cancellations

I offer no-questions-asked cancellation for the first 48 hours after booking. Simply email me or use the contact form on my website, and I'll get the process started for you.

After that point, bookings are non-refundable. I may be able to change your delivery date, or your quilt style or size-- please reach out and I'll see what's possible. Partial refunds may be available on a case-by-case basis. Ultimately, I do want you to be happy with your booking, and I will always work with you to find a solution.
